George Zimmerman is accused of second-degree murder in a case that keeps dragging on without trial.
George Zimmerman's defense team will be interviewing several secret witnesses in his second-degree murder case according to newly released court documents.

ORLANDO, FL (Catholic Online) - On Thursday, attorneys for the accused neighborhood watch captain will depose five witnesses known only to the public by numbers. Witnesses 3, 12, 13, 19, and 21 will deposed on Thursday and witnesses 1 and 2 on Friday.

Witnesses are identified by numbers to protect their privacy in the emotionally charged, high profile case.

Zimmerman is charged with shooting 17-year-old Trayvon Martin on February 26, as he was walking home from a visit to a convenience store. The defense alleges martin was acting suspiciously and that he attacked Zimmerman who subsequently shot him.

Prosecutors allege that Zimmerman profiled martin and confronted him without cause.

The case will go to trial next year.
