Zeke will soon have a new home.
A monkey that ran amok in Seminole County will soon have a new home after biting a neighborhood resident. The monkey's owner is sending the animal to live in a sanctuary.

ORLANDO, FL (Catholic Online) - Zeke, a rhesus macaque, escaped on Sunday and was eventually captured by animal control officers. His owner has decided to ship him to the Central Florida Zoo.

Officials are warning people about keeping exotic pets, particularly monkeys. Many monkeys are large and powerful animals with long life spans. Caring for them and maintaining safety for owners and neighbors is a significant responsibility.

Zeke's owner says he will find it difficult to say goodbye but acknowledges that it is the best thing to do.
