Sergeant Kemp has been missing since Tuesday morning.
An Army sergeant is missing after he was seen jumping off a cruise ship at sea. Sgt. Ronald Kemp, 31, jumped from the Carnival Cruise ship on Tuesday and has not been found since.

ORLANDO, FL (Catholic Online) - Kemp is stationed in Fort Stewart, Georgia and is a veteran of the Iraq war.

It is unknown why he jumped and officials are not speculating as to the reason.

At this time, the Coast Guard and Air Force reservists are leading the search for Kemp, hoping to rescue him alive from the water. However, Kemp jumped at 2 am on Tuesday morning and would have fell 87 feet to the water. It is unknown if he survived the fall.

The crew threw life preservers into the water immediately after, but Kemp was not observed.
