Controversial Disney attraction closed down

Catholic Online (www.catholic.org)

After facing harsh criticism, the new exhibit is closing before officially opening.
The interactive Habit Heroes attraction was closed shortly after its unofficial opening.

ORLANDO, FL (Catholic Online) - March 5, the official date for opening day has been forever postponed.

Disney partnered with Blue Cross and Blue Shield to make a new exhibit. This attraction takes visitors through a series of interactive experiences to help fight today's bad habits such as excess of television and junk food.

Walt Disney World says it is remaking an Epcot exhibit that targets childhood obesity after critics complained that it stigmatized fat kids. According to the National Association of Fat Acceptance, Disney and Blue Cross used "the tool of shame" to communicate with children.
