![]() Central Florida has three school districts ranked in the top ten of the state. The Department of Education released rankings for all 3,078 schools, both public and charter, in the state. The rankings are grouped by elementary, middle, high and combination schools. Rankings are based on FCAT scores, as well as academic gains by students who were previously in the lowest 25 percent region. The goal of these rankings is to give parents insights on how well their schools are doing. Governor Rick Scott said "Floridians care about education and it is critical that our students have access to world-class schools that will give them a pathway to a successful career. Measuring each school's performance helps gauge our progress toward that goal." For the complete rankings, visit https://app2.fldoe.org/Ranking/Schools/.
