Frito-Lay has announced that 10 new electric trucks will take to the streets in Orlando. The company plans to launch the nation's largest fleet of all-electric commercial delivery trucks in North America.

ORLANDO, FL (Catholic Online) - The trucks will reduce fuel consumption, noise pollution, and CO2 emissions. The company plans to deploy 176 such vehicles in the US and Canada this year. Orlando will see 10 of these trucks.

The trucks are said to have zero emissions and can run up to 100 miles on a single charge. The new fleet fits perfectly with Orlando's Green Works environmental initiative. It's believed that each truck will save 500,000 gallons of fuel used annually.

As an added bonus, the trucks are virtually silent so the streets and neighborhoods Orlando will now be a little bit quieter.
